After hearing that the kitchen had damp, the front bedroom and the front sitting room...as well as the hallway, we decided damp proofing the entire downstairs was the best idea. So, the builders have been in, taken/torn the old kitchen out, including the bathroom (more on that later) and de-plastered the walls up to a metre high. Think us crazy, but the damp course happens next Monday, and then the plaster man comes to seal it all up again. Here are some pics, still can't believe we'll be living all cosy in this little rubble-pit pretty soon!
